About the Opportunity
The key focus of the Quality and Compliance Coordinator role will be to develop, implement, and oversee processes to maintain high-quality care and compliance with regulatory requirements while guiding the organisation to best practices.
This is a permanent full-time role. You will collaborate with the HCPs and CHSP team to manage and facilitate improvements and develop key quality management strategies, initiatives, and plans to drive continuous improvement.
Furthermore, this position will see you liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders, and your strong people and communication skills will be imperative to your success.
It is important that you are a highly organised and efficient person with the ability to listen to the needs of both management, staff, and clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop, support and monitor service stream continuous improvement initiatives. This includes recording and tracking recommendations and required improvements arising from a broad range of activities. i.e. analysis of incidents and complaints, internal quality audits, external audits and regulator feedback/ direction.
- Collaborate with senior management to establish and implement Quality, Risk and Compliance processes, policies & objectives in accordance with the Aged Care Act and Aged Care Quality Standards.
- High-level understanding of contemporary approaches to quality management in the health and/or aged care industry.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills, demonstrated through previous experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
- A detail-oriented mindset with a logical and process-driven approach to quality and risk management.
- Conduct desktop and site audits to evaluate compliance with standards. Implement audit actions and recommendations.
- Understand and remain abreast of regulatory/legislation, changes and reforms related to your area of work.
- Provide support to initiatives and projects arising from sector reforms or critical incidents requiring direct review and response.
